Is your utility bill based on estimated water usage? If so, you may want to check your meter.
You can see if your bill is being estimated by looking just below the bar code on the front side of your bill. If your bill reads "*** PLEASE COMPLETE METER READING ON THE REVERSE SIDE ***," we were unable to read your meter for some reason and your bill has been estimated until such time as we can receive a meter reading. You can read your meter and provide your usage by filling out Section 1 on the back of your water bill. Then you can be assured your next bill will catch up with your actual water usage.
If you have received an actual bill after receiving estimated bills and are concerned about payment, you might be eligible for a payment plan. See the presentation given to City Council’s Public Works Committee November 13 for more information.
